What is Sadbhavna Vrudhashram Gujarat?

Sadbhavna Vrudhashram is a free old age home and NGO located in Rajkot, Gujarat. It was founded on August 15, 2015, which is also the Independence Day of India. The place was started by the founder with just seven lonely old people in their care. However, today, it is the largest free old age home in Gujarat, where more than 800+ residents stay.

What Life Looks Like Here

Every senior who approaches us gets a secure residence, wholesome meals and medical assistance. All of this is free of charge elderly care facilities provided to the people.

Our old age home offers care for bedridden seniors who get full-time medical attention. We know that it is not all about treating the sick and catering to their needs. We also provide seniors with physiotherapy procedures, meetings and events.

The older generation managed their children, homes and worked for a number of years. After they turn old, some of them might have been neglected or abandoned.

A Bigger Home Is on the Way

More elders need us every day, so we are building a new campus and making it one of the largest old people homes. Once ready, it will have:

• 30 acres of land
• 1,400 rooms
• Space for 5,000 elders, all free of cost
• A hospital unit, a physiotherapy center, a satsang hall, a library, a game zone and an auditorium

Care here is not only about health. The new campus of this  is planned with spaces that keep minds active and hearts happy:

• Library: Religious texts, motivational guides, novels and comics.
• Game zone: Chess, board games and friendly competition.
• Auditorium: Bhajans, discourses and cultural events where elders share their talents.
• Satsang hall: A calm space for prayer and meditation.
• Rooms: Private bedside tables, wardrobes and lockers, so every corner feels like it belongs to the elderly.

More Than an Old Age Home

Our mission is bigger than one building. We dream of a world where elders, animals and nature live together with dignity and care.

• Healthcare: We have opened our first medical center in Rajkot in June 2024 keeping “No Profit, No Loss” approach in mind. The clinic offers a variety of medicines at a discount ranging between 20% to 60% including medicines for diabetes, cancer, kidney problems, heart disorders, blood pressure and thyroid issues among others. • Bull Shelter: Our bull shelter helps bulls that are sick or abandoned. Currently, there are 1600 bulls at our shelter and we aim to increase it to 10,000 
• Dog Shelter: Our dog shelter takes care of stray dogs by providing them food, treatment and shelter. 
• Tree planting: Our tree plantation campaign is a part of the goal of planting 150 crore trees.
